About Me

I am a jewellery designer inspired by the ocean and its surroundings. My passion for jewellery started in Curaçao, my home town in the Caribbean. As a teenager I helped out in my mother's jewellery store and my passion grew even more. I love bling, aqua and sandy colours which can be seen in my designs. I had to adapt my designs when moving to the colder and wetter part of Europe and this actually opened me up to new styles and colours. I use semi-precious stones, crystals, metals, silver and glass beads to make each piece a one of a kind. All the pieces are unique and hand made by me. I also make my own glass beads, this process is called lampworking which is a type of glasswork that uses a gas fueled torch to melt rods and tubes of clear and colored glass. It is a very satisfying art to see colours melt together or build your design on your bead. This also allows me to make my pieces even more unique and one of a kind as no bead will be exactly the same.
